Literature Review Writing Service

Literature review support, without the systematic-review overhead

Most literature reviews — a thesis chapter, a coursework assignment, a proposal background section — don't need full PRISMA methodology. They need a well-organized, critically synthesized survey of the field. That's what this service is built for.

PhD-led synthesis, not summary Any citation style (APA, MLA, Harvard, Vancouver) Thematic, chronological, or methodological organization

Not sure if you need this or a systematic review?

If your assignment says "conduct a systematic review," requires PRISMA reporting, or needs to be registered on PROSPERO, see our Systematic Review Services instead. If it says "review the literature," "background of the study," or is a standard thesis/dissertation chapter without a formal protocol, this is the right service. Our review-types comparison guide walks through the distinction in more depth if you're still unsure.

What's included

Engage us for the full review, or for a single stage.

Source identification & selection

A representative, well-targeted set of sources for your topic — not the exhaustive multi-database search a systematic review requires.

Critical synthesis, not summary

Sources organized thematically, chronologically, or methodologically, with the relationships between studies made explicit — agreement, contradiction, and evolution of the field.

Gap identification

A clear statement of what's missing in the existing literature — the foundation your own research question builds on.

Citation & formatting

Consistent, accurate citations in your required style (APA 7, MLA, Harvard, Vancouver, or your institution's specific format).

Field specializations

Writers matched to your subject area across health sciences, nursing, social sciences, business, and education.

Integration with your own writing

Structured to slot directly into your thesis chapter, proposal, or assignment, matching your existing voice and structure where needed.

How it works

01

Share your topic & requirements

Your research question, required length, citation style, and any sources you already have.

02

Source identification

A targeted set of relevant, credible sources is identified and shared for your review.

03

Synthesis & drafting

Sources are organized and critically synthesized into a coherent narrative, not a list of summaries.

04

Revisions & delivery

Revisions within your agreed scope until it's ready to submit.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a systematic review?

A systematic review follows a fixed, exhaustive, protocol-driven methodology (PRISMA, PROSPERO registration, formal risk-of-bias assessment). A literature review is narrative and selective — representative of the field rather than exhaustive, with no formal protocol required. Most thesis "Chapter 2: Literature Review" assignments are this type, not a systematic review.

Can this become a systematic review later if I need one?

Sometimes, but not always — a systematic review's search has to be exhaustive and documented from the start, so a narrative review's source set usually can't just be extended into one. If there's a chance you'll need a systematic review, mention it upfront so we scope accordingly.

Do you write it from scratch, or work with sources I've already found?

Either. Some clients arrive with a folder of sources and need help organizing and synthesizing them; others need the source identification done as part of the service.
